Statement by California Labor Federation Executive Secretary-Treasurer Art Pulaski
(Sacramento) – “The conservative majority on the Supreme Court struck another devastating blow to workers today with its decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. Reproductive health care is a workers’ issue that’s inextricably linked to the fundamental freedoms unions advocate for every day. Those most affected by this decision are low-wage workers, immigrants and women of color who now have even fewer options for critical health care.
“We stand in solidarity with all workers whose rights have been undermined by this travesty of a decision. An injury to one is an injury to all. California’s labor movement will continue to fight injustice in all forms, and we’ll vigorously defend health care access, including reproductive care, for all in our state who rely upon it.”
