33rd Annual Labor Day Picnic – Smoke-Free Event

Where: Anderson River Park (Main BBQ area)
Admission: Meal tickets $5.00 include hamburger, chicken, or hot dog, beans and chips, (ages 6 & under free), soda, beer, other concessions, and raffle tickets will be offered at a very nominal charge
Additional Activities:  Watermelon Eating Contest at 2:00 p.m., Airbrush tattoos & twist balloons, Live Music by Fire Mountain Rock, and Fishing Derby at Noon (bring your own bait & pole and come early)

Labor Day Breakfast and Blood Donation Drive – Pancakes, sausage, eggs, fruit, coffee, juice, and chocolate milk
Donors must be 18 years of age or older (if you are 16 and 17-years-olds, you need parental consent; form, available on site)
Donate after breakfast and drink plenty of water prior to donation
Avoid energy drinks and coffee until after donation
If you traveled outside the country in the past 3 years, know where you traveled to, along with the duration of the stay
All donors must present a photo ID

Time:  7:30 a.m. (Central California Blood Center – on site) and 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. (with program and fun after)

39th Annual Labor Day Parade, Rally, and Picnic – Hosted by Los Angeles/Long Beach Harbor Labor Coalition

Time:  10:00 a.m.
Where:  Banning Park and Recreation Center, 1331 Eubank Avenue, Wilmington, 90744
Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. at 510 Broad Ave., Wilmington, CA 90744.  Marching bands, union delegations, floats, classic cars, and motorcycles.
Marching north to Banning Park.  Picnic and rally will commence at 12:00 p.m.  Music and free picnic.  There will be community guest speakers.
