We’re dedicating our first Throwback Thursday Labor’s Edge post to the legendary César Chávez. It’s fitting with his birthday this week! Did you know that César was so dedicated to organizing farm workers that he reportedly turned down a job offer from President Kennedy?! President John F Kennedy offered César the opportunity to head up the Peace Corps in an area in Latin America but César turned down the position so he could continue his life work of improving the lives of farmworkers in America. ¡Sí, Se Puede!
